The National Galleries of Scotland provide a free bus service linking its five galleries, the National Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy, the Dean Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and the Portrait Gallery.

This excellent little bus service runs every 45 minutes and is a godsend for people like myself who love art and rely on taxis and buses for getting about the challenging contours of Edinburgh city centre.

The bus promises to deliver you to the National Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy, The Dean Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art as well as the Portrait Gallery. All of these larger art institutions are scattered about the city and the introduction of  the gallery bus allows us to explore the galleries further afield.
